When should I book my bouquet preservation?

The ideal time is as soon as you know your event date — there is no need to wait until it is approaching. By booking early, we can plan every detail of the flower delivery together, ensuring the process runs smoothly. Slots are limited, and during peak months some dates book out well in advance. If your event has already taken place, contact us as soon as possible. If more than 5 days have passed and the flowers are no longer in good condition, we can always recreate the bouquet using similar fresh flowers from a photograph.

How long does the preservation process take?

Our average turnaround is up to 6 months from the time we receive the flowers to the finished framed piece. We always do our best to be faster, but pressing is a delicate process that cannot be rushed. We never sacrifice quality for speed. If the order includes multiple frames, the timeline may extend slightly.

Can you collect the flowers from the venue?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we travel to the venue or hotel to collect the flowers in person, subject to a quote and availability.

Can I personalise the frame with other elements?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can add bouquet ribbons, fabric from the dress, invitations, letters, or printed photographs. Please mention this in the booking form.

Do you accept flowers from outside Portugal?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we accept flowers from all over Europe. International shipping is done by courier using fragile and urgent mail; shipping costs and responsibility until our atelier are the sender's. We recommend shipping as soon as possible after the event.

Do you only preserve wedding bouquets?

Accepted Answer

No. We preserve flowers from any occasion with emotional significance: christenings, anniversaries, silver and golden weddings, tributes, and funeral ceremonies. Our gift voucher is a very special way to give the gift of preservation.

Yes. After many learnings, tests, and conclusions, we can confidently say we preserve all types of flowers.

Do the colours stay the same after drying?

Accepted Answer

There is always some colour change — it is inevitable when all the moisture is removed from the flower. Some flowers keep very vibrant colours; others fade slightly. This transformation is part of the natural beauty of the process.

I have dried flowers from years ago. What can I do?

Accepted Answer

You have three options: framing the original flowers, where we frame them in a deeper frame as they are; bouquet recreation, where we reproduce the arrangement with fresh flowers from photographs; or a mixed combination, using the original flowers that are still in good condition and replacing the rest.

What if I can't deliver the flowers within 5 days?

Each situation is assessed on a case-by-case basis, so contact us as soon as possible. If more than 5 days have already passed, we may not be able to guarantee the viability of the preservation. In that case, we recommend our bouquet recreation service.

Question 12

Why don't you preserve flowers in resin?

Accepted Answer

Resin is a petrochemical plastic — it is not biodegradable, not recyclable, and its curing process releases harmful volatile compounds. Our approach is 100% natural and sustainable.

Question 13

Why don't you do 3D flower preservation?

Accepted Answer

3D preservation typically uses large quantities of silica gel, an industrially produced material with high energy consumption. Handcrafted pressing is the most sustainable and long-lasting method.

How long can the flowers wait before being delivered?

We recommend 1 to 3 days after the event, and a maximum of 5 days. While waiting, keep them in a vase with fresh water, away from heat and direct sunlight.

How do I get the flowers to you?

Accepted Answer

Three options: drop off in person at the atelier in Ceira (Coimbra); ship by post using fragile and urgent mail; or collection at the venue subject to a quote.

How is the finished frame delivered?

Accepted Answer

The frame can be shipped to your home via tracked courier with special packaging for fragile items, at the client's cost; or collected from the atelier in Coimbra, free of charge, at an agreed time. Shipping or collection only takes place after full payment.

How much does the preservation cost?

Prices start from €300 and always include framing with anti-reflective UV-protective museum glass. All frame components are museum quality.

How does payment work?

Payment is split into three instalments: 30% deposit at booking, 40% on receipt of the flowers, and 30% before the frame is shipped.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

Accepted Answer

The 30% deposit is non-refundable. If the event is rescheduled, the deposit may be transferred to another date subject to availability.

Do you accept returns?

We do not accept returns on personalised orders. Each frame is created exclusively for you — it is a unique and unrepeatable work. For that reason, we always send a photograph of the composition for your approval before framing.
